FAQs: Public ShareFolder for Microsoft Outlook

Support / FAQ No. 36

Question: Why I can´t connect to server after installing the Service Pack 1 for Windows 2003 Server?

Answer:

This information is only important for the Public ShareFolder Version 1.3 and earlier.
You can ignore this information if you use the Public ShareFolder version 1.4 and higher.

In the Service Pack 1 (or Service Pack 2), for Windows 2003 Server (Windows 2008 Server) is a new usergroup (DCOM User) available and a new Firewall can also be activated.

For both "innovations" you must change till Public ShareFolder 1.3 some settings:

Please read our discription how to change the settings.
